Dmitry Korostelyov

Dmitry Korostelyov was born in 1979 in Volgograd where he received his first piano lessons. At the Moscow Conservatory he studied composition with Alexey Nikolayev, graduating in 2003, then completed a postgraduate course in the class of Valery Kikta. He also studied harpsichord and was assistant to Tatiana Zenaishvili.

He was awarded the prize for Best Accompanist at the 2005 Rimsky-Korsakov Wind and Percussion Instruments Competition in Saint Petersburg. As a pianist he has performed with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra, Volgograd Philharmonic Orchestra, Pskov Philharmonic Orchestra, and Russkaya Conservatoria Chamber Capella. He appears as a pianist and a harpsichordist in many Russian cities.
